Special Note: We also have a matching vintage King Cleveland cornet from the same late 1950s / early 1960s period. The horns would make a great pair for anyone who wants both a cornet and a trumpet from a time that many regard as part of the “golden age” of American brass manufacturing.
Wonderful vintage Cleveland Superior trumpet made by King with an original King 7K mouthpiece (probably the original mouthpiece that shipped with the horn), straight mute (probably a vintage Humes & Berg mute missing the label), lyre-style music clasp, Conn slide oil, and a felt-lined hard shell case. Depending on the reference site, the serial number indicates the horn was made in either 1958 or the early 1960s.
Features a combination gold lacquer and nickel plated finish, finely machined finger buttons, adjustable third valve slide ring, combination standard and Amado-style water keys, and a distinctive Cleveland Superior by King Craftsmen etching on the bell. Made in USA by the HN White Company out of Cleveland, Ohio.
Ready to go in good condition with moderate scuffs and dings. Plays well with a good tone and good action on the valves and slides. An excellent vintage trumpet for any serious player in concert band, jazz band, and orchestra and a great addition to anyone's horn collection.
