We have 7 beautiful Cotton Patch goslings, hatched in May and now fully feathered out and ready to go to new homes. 4 males (white) and 3 females (gray), all with pink feet and beaks. Healthy, well-socialized, and raised on pasture.
This is a rare heritage breed, prized for being smaller and more docile than most other geese — a great fit for small farms or families who want geese without the attitude. Traditionally, they were raised as weeder geese in cotton fields (thus their name) and they lay large, white eggs (wonderful for decorating or eating.) They make a stunning, graceful flock patrolling your homestead. We love these geese, but 13 is too many for our tiny farm!!
Photo 1, taken this morning: Our full flock of 13 (6 adults + 7 goslings) — the goslings are already well grown and nearly as large as the adults, distinguished mainly by a bit of fuzz still on their heads. They're rather shy and stick close to the grown geese, so a solo shot wasn't possible — but it's a good look at how calm and flock-oriented this breed is!
Photo 2: The goslings pictured when newly hatched babies with their parents ( now fully grown and feathered as shown in the flock photo.)
$30 each, or take the whole flock of 7 for $175.
