These self-sealing jars replaced the safety valve line of Red Wing canning jars. They came in three sizes (2, 3 & 5 gallon) and were continued into the 1930's. Some displayed small wings.

This three gallon ball lock jar is in good condition. It has no chips or cracks but has two small blemishes (as shown in the photos). The wooden handle has a chip on one side but can be turned for display so it is not showing. The wire handles are in good condition & move easily. This would be a nice addition to any Red Wing collection.
